I recently found on Designboom this amazing blog post.
When it comes to thinking outside of the box, kids are the best at it – they are not in any box yet and their minds are untainted and free.
Jack Beveridge and Joshua Lake have given 8-year olds in a local primary school a simple blank piece of paper with the following words: “Please draw a chair” and what they have received after an hour was an amazing collection of dream chair designs, they could never have come up with.
Their ‘children’s furniture project’ will translate these designs directly into real pieces of furniture.
If kids can do this with simple chairs, I wonder what they would create for entire rooms or your kitchen?
Take a look. I would totally have these chairs.
